GIYANTI COFFEE ROASTERY

A happy Saturdate with my sister, Kak Cici, to Giyanti Coffee Roastery, a hidden treasure for coffee lover especially to those who lives at Jakarta. It was located on the famous Jalan Surabaya No. 20 Menteng, Jakarta. I love the entrance of this coffee shop that we have to walk between small alley until we found a lovely cafe inside, it really feels like you find a hidden treasure in the end after following your intuition or what, not to mention the smell and the taste of their freshly roasted coffee. 

This place is such a lovely playground for a coffee lover, super friendly and helpful owner both the husband and the wife, very nice couple. Ask them everything about coffee and their menu, they will share what they know with you. Beside that they also have their own coffee roaster inside their coffee shop, unfortunately we are not allowed to take picture of their coffee roaster. But that can be another cool reason to visit Giyanti Coffee Roastery.




I ordered macchiato and gluten free brownies recommended by Kak Cici while she ordered cappucino with gluten free brownies as well. My macchiato perfectly combined with the taste of the brownies. Try this: eat a tea spoon of the brownies which will melted directly inside your mouth then take a sip of your macchiato. Oh heaven! 

Anyway they open Wednesday to Saturday from 09.30 am to 05.30 pm, because Sunday to Tuesday Giyanti Coffee Roastery closed for roasting. Sounds amazing, eh? I feel so lucky to know about this place, thanks to Kak Cici. By the way, my Saturdate with Kak Cici does not ended at Giyanti Coffee Roastery, we continued our journey exploring antique and vintage treasurers along the famous Jalan Surabaya. I will share it on my another blog post ;)

    Your really, really beautiful photos did the trick;I made a mental note:"visit Giyanti Coffee Roastery next time you're in the Big Durian!".

    By the way do you know that if you visit a "Coffee Shop" over here, you might get a big surprise ( or perhaps an embarrassment). It's a place where you can drink coffee for sure, but actually it is a Café where you buy and smoke pot/weed/marijuana =P .
