To me, it is being happy and doing what I love and doing it well. It helps if you can make a living at it too...:-)

To me success happens when we're present, when we're in the moment and not somehow stuck in the past of projecting ourselves in the future. It is, of course, a fleeting feeling, something akin to (I suppose) meditation :)

It's definitely true that success is different for everyone. Some people feel that success is being rich/famous/ or just earning a lot of money as a doctor. At least that's my dad's idea of success.

For me, I'd just be happy working at a college somewhere, teaching English and writing.
